I’m always looking for new ways to have fun. Some things are very easy to do wherever you are, like listening to music, watching a movie or reading a book. I have absolutely loved getting an MP3 player and putting many favorite tunes on it. It’s really fun to have portable music wherever you go.
Maybe you love to drive through the country, or hike in the woods. Perhaps you love jet skis, or hang gliding, ATV trails or something similar. Are you a sports nut, or do you like a more quiet pursuit like board games or even an Xbox or Playstation 3? Whatever you like to do, make sure you find time to do it. Things that we enjoy make us happy – but only if we take the time for them.
When you are stressed is actually the best time to have fun. Take your mind off your worries by trying something new. Sign up for a cooking class, go to a science museum, or take up photography. (That’s one I love since I have a digital camera, I don’t do great, but it’s certainly fun to practice.) Learning a new skill or hobby is actually a great way to feel happier. When you learn a new skill, especially if it is difficult for you, it helps you feel more confident about yourself and trust your abilities more. Who wouldn’t like that? Even if you give it up, you’ve at least learned something you don’t like, and you don’t have to waste your time on it in the future.
Here is a great site for ideas; it’s called 500 Fun things to do(http://www.discoverfun.com/freeinfo/500fun/index.html).
It’s divided into categories, and whenever I’m looking for a new idea I go back and look it over. Try it and let me know what your favorite is.
If you don’t have a sense of humor it just isn’t funny!
